Call for applications: Editor of Community Dental Health

Professor Peter Robinson has announced his intention to stand down as Editor of Community Dental Health at the end of 2024.  We are seeking to appoint his successor in time to ensure a smooth hand over between the two editors.

Community Dental Health is the journal of the British Association for the Study of Community Dentistry (BASCD).

The journal is concerned with dental public health and related subjects, including oral epidemiology, oral health services research, preventive dentistry, oral health education and promotion, clinical research, behavioural sciences related to dentistry, ethics, and oral health economics.  It is of interest to dentists working in dental public health and to other professionals concerned with disease prevention, health service planning, and health promotion throughout the world.

BASCD would like to invite applications for the post of Editor of Community Dental Health.

The successful applicant will work closely with the Journal’s publisher and be supported by an editorial assistant, an editorial board and a list of reviewers.  The position is remunerated.  The position is fixed term for four years in the first instance with the possibility of a further term which would be agreed by the governing bodies.

Applications are invited from those who have editorial experience, a detailed knowledge of the relevant literature and are comfortable in using appropriate software.  The search committee wishes to identify as large a pool of names as is possible and so also seeks nominations of names of people that should be considered.

Further details about the post, including a job description can be found here:
