BASCD is pleased to announce that the second Masterclass on the dissemination of Delivering Better Oral Health (version 4) will be held virtually on the evening of 12th of September 2023, 18:30 – 20:00 (BST).
This Masterclass will focus on the DBOH V4 chapters covering dental diseases, in particular dental caries, periodontal disease and tooth wear, in the context of dental public health.
The session will be delivered by three experts in the field who contributed to these chapters in DBOH:
- Professor Avijit Banerjee, Professor of Cariology & Operative Dentistry at King’s College London,
- Professor Ian Needleman, Professor of Periodontology and Evidence-Informed Healthcare at UCL Eastman Dental Institute, and
- Dr Saoirse O’Toole, Clinical Lecturer in Prosthodontics at King’s College London.
This will be followed by Q&A session (please note, that you will be able to submit any questions prior to the session during the registration process as well as during the session).
SESSION AIMS AND OBJECTIVES
Aim: To update members and facilitate discussion around the chapters in DBOH covering dental diseases, in particular dental caries, periodontal disease and tooth wear, from dental public health perspective.
Objectives – learners will gain:
Evidence-based insights into the updates within the DBOH (v4) on dental diseases, i.e. dental caries, periodontal diseases and tooth wear.
An understanding of clinical recommendations for the prevention and management of dental diseases in the context of dental public health.
