The aim of this section is to provide a focus for discussion and debate relating to research and teaching in BASCD specialties.

Objectives

• through BASCD to provide the GDC with advice on curriculum matters
• to develop and promote quality standards and sharing good practice
• to work with the specialties of Dental Public Health, Community Dental Practice and Specialty Care Dentistry
• to develop links with other teaching groups eg. behavioural sciences, public health
• to encourage and support the training and development of academic staff
