Last year the Service Development & Delivery Section of BASCD identified a need for a directory of guidelines in use across the country.  The intention was to enable good practice to be shared and reduce the time spent “reinventing the wheel”.  Most of the guidelines cited have been produced to meet an identified local need, but at the very least form a useful template for other salaried primary dental care practitioners wishing to develop local policy or guidelines in these areas.  All contributors have agreed to provide contact addresses and share their guidelines with all services requesting them.
